Mike Coyne-Logan of Living Lands & Waters will share the history of the organization and describe some of its projects, including river clean-ups.
Mike Coyne-Logan, the Educational Facilitator at Living Lands & Waters, will present on the organization's history and mission. He will talk about what a river clean-up is like, including life on a barge for up to 9 months a year. Join us to learn about the impact of plastic pollution on river and ocean systems, as well as how we can reduce plastic pollution.
Headquartered in East Moline, Living Lands & Waters was established by Chad Pregracke in 1998. Since the organization was founded, Living Lands & Waters has grown to be the only “industrial strength” river cleanup organization like it in the world.
Community Connections is funded by the Friends of the Bettendorf Public Library.
