An opportunity for participants to experience fun, non-traditional music.
Chiptunes are a form of synthesized electronic music also called 8-Bit music (because of the video game sounds). The music was created using hacked vintage arcade or console music chips. On the other hand digital music was created as early as the the 1960’s using synthesizers. Today, hacking consoles or the large electronic instruments of the past are now available in small handheld recreations, apps, and computer software.
This is an opportunity for participants to experience fun, non-traditional music. In addition, it will offer the history of computer-generated music. So come and have a hands-on experience creating weird electronic noise, beats, and arcade sounds.
