Create a branch of cherry blossoms with paper flower artist Quynh Nguyen!
Join Quynh Nguyen, paper flower artist and author of The New Art of Paper Flowers, for a cherry blossom workshop. In this special session, Quynh will share personal reflections on her Vietnamese heritage and how it has shaped her journey as an artist. Guided by her expert instruction, you’ll learn how to craft delicate cherry blossoms from crepe paper and assemble them into a graceful branch. In many Asian cultures, the cherry blossom represents renewal, beauty, and the fleeting nature of time. All tools and materials are provided for this workshop, which is open to ages 16 and up.
Based in the Seattle area, Quynh operates Pink and Posey, where she both accepts commissions for fine art installations and teaches the art of making paper blossoms through both in-person workshops and online courses. She will join us over Zoom for this cherry blossom workshop.
This Creation Studio workshop is part of the 2025 Global Gathering Vietnam program series, which is funded by the Bettendorf Public Library Foundation.
