Train Dreams

Join us for a book discussion of Train Dreams by Denis Johnson

After a devastating forest fire destroys his home and family, Grainier lives a solitary life of quiet grief, working on the expanding railroads and logging camps in the American West of the early 20th century. The book captures the rugged beauty and harshness of a rapidly industrializing frontier, blending historical realism with surreal folklore.

Get Lit is a book discussion group for those adventurous souls who would like to read a little something different. A limited number of books are available at the Information Desk on a first come basis.
