Our Birdie Number is #590

Birdies for Charity Logo

The Birdies for Charity campaign is the perfect way for one person to make a BIG difference!

During this past year, your friends at the Bettendorf Public Library have been dedicated to making sure you retain the same access to an outstanding collection of resources and a fantastic line up of programs that you have come to expect.

• Free online programs and digital resource collections continue to provide remote access to information, entertainment and services for patrons of all ages, via any internet connection.
• Free public computers, Internet connection, trained librarian staff and software programs are available to assist you in navigating online employment resources, tax preparation, ancestry inquiries and homework assistance.
• Free Summer Reading Program helps bridge the learning gap for thousands of local school children.
• And we’re looking forward to the eventual return of in-person programming like our free Creation Studio, outdoor Summer Concerts, Global Gathering and many others!

Your support to the Bettendorf Public Library Foundation –
Birdie #590 - helps make this all possible!

A $20 gift will support the participation of 15 children in our 9-week Summer Reading Program!

Please consider a gift of $20 or more. You can donate securely online at:

Raising money to support, enhance and preserve Bettendorf Public Library programs and services.

It is our vision to grow the endowment fund to assist in solidifying and ensuring the vibrant future of the Bettendorf Public Library Information Center. We will build strong relationships with many individuals, businesses, foundations, grantors and community organization to become the charity of choice for many.

The Library Foundation is a nonprofit organization established in 1983 to seek private sector support for maintaining the excellence of programs and services offered by the Bettendorf Public Library. We support the Library through projects and services, activities to advance reading and learning, and special programs that enrich the lives of children, families, seniors and new readers. While the everyday operations of the library are supported by tax dollars, it is through private gifts that the library is able to go above and beyond and provide new and innovative programs and services to meet the community’s changing needs. The Library Foundation strives to ensure that the Bettendorf Public Library Information Center can continue to meet the needs of the community, today and tomorrow.
