Did you know:
Since November 2020, the Friends of the Library have operated a book shop in the library. It is open on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Volunteers sort donated magazines and books on a daily basis and put them out for sale in the book shop, so there are regularly new selections on sale.
Through book shop sales, book fairs and internet sales, the Friends raised over $42,000 for library programs in 2023.
In 2023, the book shop alone has raised over $35,000 for library programs.
In 2023, memberships in all categories totaled over $2,400.
All of these projects allow the Friends to provide materials and programming to the library.
The Friends approved funding 66 projects requested by the library in 2023 for over $54,000.
Membership in the Friends is an affordable way to support the Bettendorf Public Library.
Memberships run for a calendar year. In addition to supporting the library, your membership offers you the opportunity to attend the Friends preview sale when we have our book fair.
We invite you to join the Friends.
There are no special requirements to become a Friend. Join and realize the satisfaction that you have helped to support the Bettendorf Public Library. As a current or future member of the Friends, please consider volunteering to assist in operation of our book shop or sorting and processing of donations for our sales.
Please use this form to send in your membership for calendar year 2024. If you have already joined for this year, we thank you for your membership
